According to a recent study, one can avoid some heart problems with a moderate consumption of red wine.

In order to understand the reasons of this study we need to learn how a heart attack occurs. It is the lack of blood supply the one that causes muscle failure that produces heart attacks. This occurs when fat accumulates in the inner wall of a coronary artery, preventing the arrival of the blood and producing a blocked artery and 30 percent of the cells from the affected areas die.

Drinking wine continuously and moderately can increase good cholesterol and coronary flow, inhibiting the formation of plaques in the arteries. This year to encourage greater participation by conference – goers, we are sponsoring a participatory event in the poster area.  Students in a graduate educational technology course at Boise State University reviewed the posters the day prior to the conference and pick three nominations for

1) Best Example of Educational Practices in a Virtual World

2) Best Interactive Display

3) Best Use of Steampunk theme ( The design theme for VWBPE this year is Steampunk)

Voting objects will be located around the poster area to allow conference-goers to vote up until noon on Saturday, March 19.

On the voting ballot – there will be a fourth category – “People’s Choice” which will allow conference-goers to select any of the posters. The results will be announced during the closing/awards ceremony.

Virtual Worlds – Best Practices in Education

The Aussies have had a great showing at the VWBPE, so far we’ve seen Decka Mah (Lindy McKeown), Jokay Wollongong and Dean Groom, and coming up at 9pm ae Stefan Schutt and Dale Linegar from Victoria Univesity in Australia will  be presenting a frank overview of the successes and challenges encountered during the development and delivery of a range of social, health and education projects involving diverse groups including children with disabilities, newly arrived immigrant teens, elite secondary school students, TAFE (community college) and university students.

After Stefan and Dale’s presentation there will be a break until 03:00 SLt; why not use that time to check out the poster and vendor area or explore the amazing steampunk buildings.
